Some impressions from UT2k7 E3 demonstration
They did not show IG gameplay yet, hard to say. CliffyB hates LG and IG. Since he's taking decisions on map design, I doubt we will have good IG stock maps in new release. 
From other side, as far as I know, they're watching game stats closely. Most top played servers are IG RG/LG and ONS. Our demo server is top LGI server (7th I think). So we're heard.
I hope Epic will conduct series of IRC chats before release like they did back in 2003.

Call me Mr. Pessimist... but I think it could come back for max a year... and then it will quickly die even faster than ut2k3 or worse ut2k4. Few people stick to a game religiously nowadays, players retention is low with the crazy rate at which new games are coming out.bRuce_Lee wrote:anyone think the LG iCTF community will come back with this game?
Oddie conducts ut99 LGI parties on his server every Saturday at 5pm PST. I did not have chance to join it yet though.
As for LGI. Yeh, it became more like a religion for most players. They come and leave game shortly after even if they're doing good.
My belief is that if Epic downsizes models, gets rid of stupid harsh sound effects, gets back old voices (especially teamsayings) and refines Instagib projectiles, LGI will be a hit in 2k7. Mark Rein told people that they want to make fighting in 2k7 more personal face-to-face, ut99 style. If things go right we're 4 months from the demo release. We'll see.
