Ageia PhysX "Physics Decellerator"

You may have heard about the physics card... supposed to shake up the gaming world as we know it (ya right)... here it is:

BTW, ATI replied when this 'project' was announced that it was on their roadmap to integrate such function onboard with their cards... not with Aegia chips.

Oh... UT2007 is on the list of supported titles... but looking at the benchmarks and observations so far, I will pass on this one... at least a couple generations.

whats so special about it? Its only a 128ram card. I have a 2 yr old agp card with 256ram (Nvidia 6800gt)

It is not a video card... it is a physics 'acceleration' card.

Next nVidia will have physics accelerator from Havoc built in. So just wait when it's done.

What is it decellerating? It's actually good at doing what it does (calculating physics), issues arise because there needs to be more rendered on the screen.
